Are you experienced in the events production industry looking to take on an exciting new challenge? If so, we have an excited new opportunity for a Head Venue Technician to join the team!

The Role

The Head Venue Technician will deliver and coordinate the technical production for a range of events for students. The Students’ Union provides a range of events at both our own venues and others in Southampton, ranging from comedy nights to live music to cultural events to graduation balls and more. Every day will be different!

This is a hands-on role where you will lead a team of student crew in order to deliver amazing event experiences for students and customers. You’ll coordinate and deliver production requirements and ensure that our production resources and maintained and developed.

In addition to delivering events, you will also be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of our inventory of technical equipment, supporting the technical infrastructure of our bars & facilities, and planning enhancements to our spaces.

Experience of working in a live music or theatrical venue, or a history of freelance technical work, would be helpful to prepare you for this varied role.
