change the time bookings for courts and classes the following week can be made from midnight to 9am

Complete

I understand that bookings for the next week used to be at 7am and this was thought of as too early but putting it at midnight is so frustrating. Especially if you set an alarm at 23:59 to try and beat the rush to find that someone booked it a second before you and then you try get back to sleep in an angry rage...

9am or any other reasonable hour in the day would be much more suitable.

Hi Chira,

Thank you for your submission.

On the back of this I did some polling among students to find out what time they would prefer and 70% agreed that a 9am changeover would be preferable to midnight. I reported this back to Sport and Wellbeing who were happy to make the change but unfortunately they discovered at this point that the limitations of their booking system will only allow them to set the time for bookings to reset at 12am or 7am. Luckily they will be upgrading their outdated system over summer, but this does mean that they will not be able to make the change until the next academic year at the earliest. This should happen by September.

Best wishes,

Steve Gore, VP Sports

Going back to this, it was said that this system would change over the summer but to my knowledge it still changes over at 12am and nothing seems to have been updated with the system at all. When will we see a change that will allow for waiting list notifications of classes and a reasonable hour to book classes / space for the following week?
