In line with the all-student vote leading to SUSU's commitment to back a second referendum[1], the union should publically oppose the prorogation of parliament and should advertise to students ways in which they can stand against the undemocractic move which takes away the possibility of a people's vote. An example of this may be sharing the below petition [2].

Hi there,
Thank you for your You Make Change submission!
Firstly, I would like to reassure you that we are taking this issue very seriously. We are writing an offical statement which will be released on the SUSU website today and sharing the petition link as well as the march details too. We are also writing to the local MPs for Southampton, Romsey and Winchester as well as Boris Johnson to ask for support and to highlight our students' dissatifaction with the outcome. We will be making it available online for students to sent to their local MPs too, should they wish.
If you have any other suggestions or ideas, feel free to contact me at vpeddem@soton.ac.uk
Kind regards,
Joanne Lisney (VP Education & Democracy, 2019-20 vpeddem@soton.ac.uk)
