lobby the university to remove the signage from classrooms that suggest we can't sit in specific seating

It's confusing and it is stopping me from being able to make friends as I am worried that I am not allowed to sit near people not in my household. It isn't obvious that we are allowed to sit wherever and lecturers say they aren't sure. As a student who struggles with anxiety, I am confused on what guidelines to follow and where I should sit in my lectures.

Hello! Unfortunately, due to the ever-changing nature of guidelines, the university does not want to remove the signage if it needs to be put back up. I am really sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. I would raise it with your lecturer by email identifying whether or not they would like the signs in place for their session or not.

Hi! This is something that was raised in the last Senior Representative meeting with the VP of Education at UoS, Alex Neill. This is something I will be taking further with the University, and I will send updates when possible. Thank you for your submission. :)
