Reintroduce the WSA weekend shuttle bus

Complete

SUSU used to run a shuttle bus on Saturdays and Sundays during term time between WSA and Highfield Campus. This allowed for WSA students to be better connected to those at Highfield, attending society meetings, sports matches and events. This shuttle has not made a reappearance since Covid, and it can make attending activities such as those listed difficult.

The previous shuttle bus timetable can be found on an old version of a susu page, which is the second link if you search the susu site for "weekend shuttle":

I believe that reintroducing this service would be greatly beneficial to those in Winchester, as well as allowing students based in Southampton to explore more of what WSA, and Winchester, has to offer.

Hi - I have spoken to colleagues in the Activities and Insight Teams at SUSU to review your interesting submission. We have received similar feedback in our recent WSA Transport survey and we will be taking WSA student views to the University when they review options for the future of the Shuttle Bus later in the academic year. I will also make sure I represent your views in upcoming meetings with University colleagues to ensure that the Bus service can be improved.

Hello there. Thanks so much for your submission. You make a great case and I agree that reintroducing the weekend service would be a beneficial move for students studying at WSA, and would show the University's commitment to valuing students at all campuses. I've reached out to a few colleagues internally to understand a little bit more about how this might be delivered, and whether or not it is possible, and I hope to provide a more substantive update next week.

- Ben.
