open The Bridge on the weekends

Sometimes we want to go and get lunch at The Bridge when we have more free time, but we can't :(

Hi Lottie,
After having a conversation with Gary, our Head of Social Enterprise, I'm sorry to say that we are unable to open The Bridge for food/drink on the weekends as it isn't financially feasible/sustainable. From your experience as a Sabbatical Officer last year you will no doubt no that for us to lose money in one venue, we need to make this up in another venue, potentially risking increasing prices. With the cost-of-living crisis we are seeking to avoid this by all means possible.
However, with The Stag's being open from 12:00 on weekends, and the new food menu being put in place in the coming days with over 25 items, I would recommend going there for weekend lunch!

Hi Lottie,
Thank you for your 'You Make Change' submission! Apologies for the delay, I have been occupied with Freshers events and being out of office with COVID-19 for the past week.
I have asked to speak to our Head of Social Enterprise this coming Monday (17/10) about this and a few other student requests. I will be able to provide more details and an update on this following this meeting.
