lobby the uni to drop Turning Point UK

Complete

They have been campaigning across campus which is very damaging to Disabled and Neurodiverse students. University shouldn't be such a strong, political place and people should be respectful. Also, they're handing out flyers which is against SUSU rules on sustainability. We should not be forcing politics views on anyone, the same way we shouldn't be forcing religious views.

Hi Lottie,

Thank you for submitting this!

I have spoken with the University Security Service Team and it appears that this group has come onto campus without invitation from the University. We are also certain this wasn't SUSU related. I have done some investigative work into this matter and it appears that Turning Point UK was conducting tours of UK universities, hence their presence on campus. As they were not invited by any group they were liable to removal from University land. I have asked the Security Services Team to stay vigilante over the next few weeks for similar occurrences.

I am going to close this submission for now as the matter is resolved. If you have any further questions please feel free to make another submission or email me directly at president@soton.ac.uk

All the best,

Oliver Murray
