There was a proposal brought to Council last year to have a referendum on the rebrand, but the proposal was voted by Councillors to be moved to Trustee Board instead. A more appropriate policy for student involvement was passed, suggesting things like stringent student consultation in a variety of methods – which worked well as we saw nearly 2,500 responses to the survey, and also mandated a working group be set up which will happen after Easter This group will look functionally at the implementation of the new brand.
