moving in early

Hi Charles,
I've just accepted my offer for living in St Margaret's House, and although my licence starts on September 24th, I was wondering if I can move in a few days early, maybe around September 17th or 18th. The reason is that I'd like to have more time to look for a part-time job, and settle in, and I'd prefer moving directly into the house rather than looking for accommodation in town for these days.
Let me know if that could work.
Cheers,
Oana

Hi Ona,
You’ll have to talk to the University Accommodation team to request to move in earlier, however, they usually only allow people to move in early if there is an extenuating circumstance. You can contact them via email or phone, all the information is here http://www.southampton.ac.uk/studentservices/accommodation-hotline.page
Sorry I couldn’t be of more help. If you're looking for job opportunities, it would be a good idea to keep an eye on the Union Southampton page as they employ a lot of student staff.
Thanks,
Charles Randall - Archers Road Halls Committee President
