appeal to the university to shift the graduation day for business school from July to December

Complete
It is very sad that while all friend of ours from other courses will graduate in December and we will be graduating somewhere next year in July. The student visa we get is till January 2019 and thus for graduation in July 2019 we have to go through the visa process again, which is expensive and tyring. Getting degree after a whole one year is not fair as we need to apply for jobs and for that company requires to verify the degree.
Please put this matter to the University management and sort out the same for the international students.

Dear Akshat,
Good news, I have an update for you from the Business School!
The Director of postgraduate programmes in the Business School is supportive of this change and, although unable to make change for the current cohort, is in talks with the university to try and change things for future MSc students in the Business School. He will be talking to current postgraduate course reps about this in the next SSLC (due to be held at the end of February). If you would like to know more you can contact your rep, after the SSLC, using the contact details available on the SUSU website (susu.org/education)
Hopefully that begins to answer your question, and we may have some more positive news in the future. I'm going to close this You Make Change for now, but don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any more questions.
All the best,
Samuel Dedman (VP Education 2017/18 - vpeducation@susu.org)

Dear Akshat,
Apologies for the lack of response on this, but I'm still awaiting a reply from the Business School with regards to this. I'm going to chase them again, and will be leaving this You Make Change open until I get a response.
Again, I'm sorry about the delay - I know it isn't ideal!
All the best,
Samuel Dedman (VP Education 2017/18 - vpeducation@susu.org)

I'll be back once I have an update!
