Have somewhere open for tea/coffee/food on weekends earlier

I completely understand if this is done due to costs, but the cafe isn't open at all on weekends, The Bridge opens at 11.30, and The Shop doesn't open until 10 on Saturday, 11 on Sunday. For people who are on campus early, this isn't very convenient - one of these places being open for people to buy food and hot drinks would be very much appreciated.

It seems like Union Services still reckons there isn't a big enough demand for earlier opening hours, though I do understand your frustration. Even Costa don't open until 10am! You are more than welcome to bring in your own coffee and mug and use our hot water facilities in the libraary, seeing as it is open a little earlier on weekends compared to other buildings on campus.
I am sorry that there isn't more that we can do at the moment, but we are looking to expand our hot water services! So hopefully it will make those early weekend mornings a little easier.

Thanks for your idea. Unfortunately you're right about why we don't open our outlets earlier on the weekends - it's about making sure that we can cover the costs of staffing them. I will ask our teams if they think it could be a possibility (say for the Shop for instance) and get back to you.
