Turn the music down in the Bridge

Complete
I understand The Bridge has a laptop ban 11:00-14:00 Monday-Friday to discourage people from working and freeing up space - this I accepted. I used to enjoy working in The Bridge for an hour or two but now the music is blasting constantly. Don't get me wrong The Bridge playlist is great but does SUSU really want to continue to discourage students in this way?

Hello!
A couple of weeks have passed, and as such I'm going to close this You Make Change submission. Do keep an eye on the volume levels, however, and let me know if things get loud again!
All the best, and thank you for using You Make Change!

Hello again!
The Bars Manager at SUSU just got back to me with the following response:
"The music volume in The Bridge is adjusted throughout the day to create a vibrant atmosphere. In the morning it is slightly quieter, and the volume is increased throughout the day to match the hustle and bustle within the venue. After lunch, the venue is suited towards students who have finished for the day to come and enjoy a drink or cocktails with friends, and the music should reflect this. If you are looking for a quieter place to study, I can suggest the quieter spaces in The Café, or on Bar 2."
I still think there is something technical going on at the audio volume does seem to be unbearably loud at times (with no input from the Bar Staff). I'll keep having a dig and see where we end up.
Again, make sure that you keep the votes coming in!
All the best,

Hello!
Thanks for getting in touch. This is something which I actually noticed when I was in The Bridge earlier this week. I'll pass this on to the Bars Team right away and see what can be done.
I'll be back soon with an update - for now remember that voting is now live on this You Make Change so please share it with your friends!
All the best,
