British Red Cross Group

The British Red Cross (BRC) is a volunteer-led humanitarian organisation that helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are.

The BRC enables vulnerable people at home and overseas to prepare for and respond to emergencies in their own communities.

And when the crisis is over, the BRC helps people recover and move on with their lives Southampton University BRC Group (SUBRC) connects students/staff to various volunteering opportunities within the BRC whilst creating a social atmosphere for members.

SUBRC provides opportunities in Fundraising, teaching Humanitarian Education and Everyday first aid and Event First Aid, including the necessary training and assessments. Add us on Facebook for more up to date information! .

Southampton University British Red Cross Group volunteers managed to raise £500 in Red cross week 2017 and hope to raise even more with lots more exciting fundraising events which we hope you will get involved in!

Come and meet our committee at the freshers bun fight on 26th September from 11-5 to get signed up! we look forward to meeting you!

We also have lots of exciting fundraising events coming up! Such as a cake sale on the red brick area outside of the students union on the 18th October. We would love if you came a showed your support for this amazing cause!

These are the current membership fees offered by British Red Cross Group, although many clubs and societies offer a free period for new members to try out their activities.
