Peer Support Co-ordinator

SUSU’s Advice and Representation department was created to act as the students’ watchdog, constantly identifying barriers that may impact adversely on the student experience, and campaigning for positive change, whilst continuing to deliver an excellent advice service.

Come and join the Advice & Representation team in the exciting new role of Peer Support Co-ordinator. Working closely with the Advice & Representation Manager, you will build on the success of the SUSU Peer Support scheme pilot project last year, and deliver the scheme for a further year while also developing new ways to deliver peer support. The main purpose of the role is:

  1. To recruit and deliver training to peer supporters
  2. To provide group supervision to peer supporters and further support as required
  3. To develop and deliver new methods of peer support and wellbeing promotion to students

We are looking for someone with a counselling background or similar who understands the issues facing students and is passionate about developing a strong peer support scheme. If this sounds like you, we want to hear from you!
