Results Day Advice & Support

Results are released on Thursday at 2pm, and we know this can be a stressful and emotional time for many students. The Advice Centre will be supporting a very high number of students over results day and the following two weeks.

Access to the Advice Centre

  • The building will be closed on Thursday due to the heatwave, so face-to-face support won’t be available on results day.
  • The office will reopen at 9am on Monday 29 June if you’d prefer to speak to someone in person.

📞 How to get support

Most students contact us remotely, and that’s the best way to reach us on results day:

  • Call: 02380 59 2085 – If we can’t answer, please leave a voicemail and we’ll call you back.
  • Email: advice@soton.ac.uk

What to expect

  • Results day is our busiest time of the year, so you may find it harder to get through immediately.
  • This is not because we’re unavailable—it’s because our team is already helping other students.
  • Every message and missed call will be responded to, and we aim to get back to everyone as quickly as possible.
