About Me
Hi! I am Travis, and I am your Vice President of Sports for the 2025/26 academic year.
During my time at the University of Southampton, I completed a BSc in Geography followed by an MSc in Environmental Science. Alongside my academic studies, I was actively involved in various clubs and societies, with a particular focus on Lacrosse, where I held several leadership roles, including President and 1st Team Captain.
Outside of university, I compete in Lacrosse at an international level, participating in tournaments and matches against top teams from the UK and overseas.
What do you do as VP Sports?
- I represent, support and celebrate all 130 sports clubs, including BUCS and Intramural teams.
- Lead the Union’s Varsity and Team Southampton Awards
- I encourage active participation and facilitate opportunities within sport to ensure everyone can be physically active.
- I promote healthy lifestyles and lead awareness campaigns across campus.
- I advocate for all sports facility users and their needs.
What I’m working on
- Increasing student engagement within sport through student voice and communication between SUSU, the University and Sports Clubs.
- Enhancing the Student experience within sport by increasing active participation, aiding club sponsorships, and understanding how students want to be recognised for their sporting accomplishments.
- Improving support for clubs through streamlined access to committee role guidance and training resources.
