About Me

I’m Harvey (he/him), Vice President Communities for the 26/27 academic year.

I’m studying for an integrated Master’s in Computer Science, and my main interests are game design and development.

My hobbies include staff spinning (sometimes on fire) alongside other circus skills, bouldering, and Marvel Rivals esports. I’m also generally interested in videogames, anime, and manga.

What do you do as VP Community?

As VP Communities, my focus is on ensuring that every student has the chance to enjoy their time at University through societies and events that reflect their unique interests and identities.

I’ll be supporting over 200 societies, representing student interests in the local area, and delivering activities and events for all students to enjoy.

Through this, I aim to build a stronger sense of community, solidarity, and belonging for all students.

What I’m working on:

• Protecting our small societies
• Promoting all societies through social media and collaboration events
• Helping our societies to collaborate with the local community
• Improving the transparency of society grant allocations
• Lobbying against the use of generative AI in all areas
