WESTON SHORE BEACH CLEAN
15 Oct 2022,
Weston Shore
Marine Conservation Society
Welcome to the first (of many) beach cleans of the academic year! On the 15th of October we’ll be heading down to Weston Shore to clear up the area for the local wildlife.
The committee will be meeting at Highfield Interchange at 10am to take a bus to the beach, although if you’d rather make your own way there that’s absolutely fine too! Just meet us at 11am when the beach clean begins at Weston Shore.
We’ll provide gloves but bring your own just in case as we can’t guarantee availability. Also bring water, raincoats and something warm to prepare for any kind of weather. Feel free to reach out with any questions!
The Organisers

The University of Southampton Marine Conservation society are a group of people dedicated to conserving our wonderful coastlines and oceans. It's completely free to join, and as a member you’ll be invited to a whole range of events! We organise regular beach cleans, host guest speakers, screen documentaries and organise trips to marine conservation related events all over the country. We also run society socials where you can meet new people and chill out with friends. We’ll keep you up-to-date on marine news and volunteering opportunities over social media. We have big plans and hope to get everyone engaged in marine conservation. If the health of our oceans is important to you why not come and join us?
