Explore the wonderful wildlife that lives on our campuses and Halls of Residence! Between Thursday 12 - Saturday 14 October, take a few minutes outside where you are and record the species you see in as much time or as little time you’d like.

Need help with identifying what you’re seeing? Download the iNaturalist app https://uk.inaturalist.org/ or the Seek app https://www.inaturalist.org/pages/seek_app. Open the camera on your phone, point at a plant or animal and the app will identify what you’re looking at.    

A BioBlitz is a communal citizen-science effort to record as many species within a designated location and time as possible. Submit your sightings to go-green@soton.ac.uk. These records will help inform the University’s Biodiversity Plan.
