Women's History Month x Women in Sport Week!


Come and join our Olympic Weightlifting Club for a Women's Only Lifting Beginners session! 


Here you will get an introduction to Olympic Weightlifting, which involves learning the two main lifts: the Snatch and the Clean & Jerk.

The taster session will be fully suitable for beginners and led by two female coaches, no prior gym experience or strength is required - however, it can also be suited to those with some experience already.

It will be an opportunity to discover a new sport and learn some new skills whilst building confidence around picking up a barbell.


Participants should bring/wear; trainers (flat soles preferred but not required), a water bottle and comfortable sports/gym wear.

Location: Lakeside Weightlifting Club, Lakeside Country Park SO50 5PD (please contact the club directly for further information on location and how to get there).

Weightlifting is a fantastic way to improve your overall athleticism and strength. Whether you are interested in competing, want to improve your performance in another sport or just try something new, come along to a session ! We train at the Wide Lane Gym and once a week at Lakeside Weightlifting Club with a professional coach.
