Diwali is a festival of lights, a festival that celebrates good against evil, light upon darkness and positivity beyond negativity. As a very festive part of our culture, we are celebrating this on 14th November 2026, with our fellow students who are away from home. Our Diwali mela includes a joyous occasion of activities like diya painting, Mehndi, Rangoli and sparklers, an environment that resonates with how we spend our time with family on this special occasion. We will also have performances from the talented Bollywood Dance and Kathak Bharatanatyam Dance Societies!
All workshops are taking place in the Cube between 5:30PM-6:30PM. Performances will take place afterwards, followed by music and dancing!
Sparklers will be lit around 8:45PM on the Redbrick 🎆
Dress code: Traditional Indian dress or colourful!
Please remember to bring your student ID to be scanned, or loaded on your MySouthampton App.
