Join us for the big Winter Festival Light Switch On!  Gather near the grass opposite Building 40 (The Stag's) for the countdown at 6:30pm, plus live performances from our brilliant student societies before and after the switch-on. Families and children are very welcome, with a designated family-friendly area available away from the main crowd.

Accessibility Information
Noise Level
This event will include live performances and amplified music, so it may be loud at times.
The main Light Switch On will involve a large crowd and may include cheering and other sudden increases in noise.

Capacity
This is expected to be a very busy and crowded event.
The main Light Switch On lasts approximately 10 minutes.

Family-Friendly Area
Children and families are welcome at this event.
A designated family-friendly area will be sectioned off for those who would prefer to be away from the main crowd.

Quiet Space
This event will not have a designated quiet space.

Lighting
This event takes place outdoors and includes the Winter Festival Light Switch On. Lighting levels may change during the switch-on.

Food
There will be food to purchase nearby from food outlets.

Toilets
There are single-stall, gender-neutral and disabled toilets available nearby.

Seating
This is primarily a standing event and seating is not provided within the main event area.

British Sign Language
Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to provide BSL, however if you have your own support, they are more than welcome to join.
