Badgers (Basketball)
We as the Mixed-Medics Badgers aim to dig students out of the repeated cycle of wake, work, weep. We aim to provide sessions of basketball to release stress and help people stay fit. Open to all years and all skill levels.
The Badgers are Southampton's Mixed-Medics Basketball Team.
We accept people from all skill sets so whether you're a complete beginner or a total pro, we'll have space for you!
The Badgers play in a variety of games of different competitiveness, including the university intramural league, varsities against other medical schools and our annual medics tournament, NAMS.
We are the defending champions of the intramural league and have won it 5 years in a row.
Training sessions are on Thursdays from 7pm to 8.30pm, and Saturdays from 3pm to 4pm at Jubilee Sports Centre on Highfield Campus.
