We are the University of Southampton's Soapbox Racing Society and we design, build and race gravity-powered carts. Having competed in the Red Bull Soapbox Race 2022 at Alexandra Palace in London, we now need more 'engineers' to help us design a new cart for the 2023 racing season!

Welcome to the UoS Soapbox Racing Society!

We are a group of 'engineers' who build soapbox carts and race them down hills. Last year we competed in the 2022 Red Bull Soapbox Race in London with a Colin the Caterpillar inspired cart in front of 16,000 people and the official Colin the Caterpillar from M&S! Now we aim to build a new and improved cart to compete in the 2023 season and we need your help!

We have regular build sessions which you can come along to by signing up for our Build Membership in the Membership tab or if you just want to keep up with the society's progress you can sign up for the Free Membership.

Check out our Instagram and our Discord community for updates and announcements. Also, feel free to contact any of the committee directly using the emails linked below!
