Archery
We are a friendly club open to all members of the University of Southampton, including Undergrads, Postgrads and Staff. We accommodate anyone interested in just shooting for fun as well as those looking for something more competitive
Hello! We are SUAC, otherwise known as the Southampton University Archery Club!
We are a club for new and experienced archers, catering to both competitive and social shooters to suit all of your archery needs.
For those of you who are new to archery, we run a Beginners Course starting in October which runs for 3 weeks and must be completed if you wish to be part of the club. These sessions will open in late September for you to book. There are a variety of time slots available, so please select one in the membership options that you can commit to for the full 3 weeks. They are first come first served so get in quick to secure your slot! The course includes weekly coaching covering the basics of shooting and all equipment needed will be provided. Once you have completed the course, you will be able to use club facilities and equipment as a regular member for the rest of the year!
Throughout the year we offer our archers regular opportunities to compete in different competitions, including BUCS, however, this is not a requirement to participate! If all you want out of SUAC is a fun pastime and the opportunity to meet new people, that's perfectly fine!
If you have completed a beginners' course elsewhere in the past, just email us at archclub@soton.ac.uk and we will give you more information about getting started with us. If you would like to join as an associate member (for non-students and staff only), please email us for more information.
We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to our club!
