Hello! We are the Southampton University Archery Club (or SUAC for short) and we are a club happy to welcome both new and experienced archers.
For those new to archery, we run a beginners' course usually starting in October which runs for 6 weeks and must be completed if you wish to be part of the club. There are a variety of time-slots available, so please select one in the membership options that you can commit to for the full 6 weeks . The course includes weekly coaching covering the basics of shooting and all equipment needed will be provided. Once you have completed the course, you will be able to use club facilities and equipment as a regular member for the rest of the year.
The date of the next beginners course is yet to be decided due to Covid-19 restrictions, however beginners are welcome to join the social aspect of our club in the meantime through free membership.
We offer the opportunity for both new and experienced archers to regularly compete; in recent years our results included multiple BUCS medals for our novices and seniors including indoor gold and bronze medals for two of our novice ladies and an indoor bronze medal for one of our experienced gents.
If you have completed a beginners' course elsewhere in the past, just email us at archclub@soton.ac.uk and we will give you more information about getting started with us. If you would like to join as an associate member (for non-students only), please email us for more information.
For more information about the club, please visit our website at: http://archery.susu.org/ or our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/suarchclub/ We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to our club! Note: you will have to login first to be able to purchase membership.
