Ballroom and Latin Dance Society
We are Southampton University's Ballroom and Latin Dance Society. We encourage and teach dance at both a social and competitive level. Weekly classes for all standards are taught by professional teachers and we also compete regularly throughout the year against other universities across the country. We perform demonstrations at local events and organise Southampton's very own Strictly Come Dancing every year! We are a very friendly and welcoming community open to all for enjoyment, fitness and involvement in the student union through our love of Ballroom and Latin dance... 'Keeeep Dancing!'
The Committee
All clubs and societies within the Students' Union are run entirely by students. The student committee for Ballroom and Latin Dance Society this year are:

- Supports the president in order to deliver against the groups aims

- A position open to members in their first year of the Society. They are a point of call if any members have a problem or issue that they want to raise.

Membership Information
These are the current membership fees offered by Ballroom and Latin Dance Society, although many clubs and societies offer a free period for new members to try out their activities.

| SUBLDS Basic Membership 25/26 | £5.00 | 24/09/2025 - 30/06/2026 | This membership allows you to come to any of our classes, competitions and socials. Allows you to vote in our general meeting and gets you a free ticket to our Christmas Social Dance. This membership is suitable for members wanting to stay up to date with SUBLDS, but only attend lessons every few weeks. |
