Comedy Society
The University of Southampton Comedy Society aims to provide a wide range of comedy entertainment to appreciative audiences. We seek to encourage aspiring young writers, performers, producers and directors to enhance their creative skills in the pursuit of laughter.
For current or former students of the University of Southampton who love performing, writing, directing, producing, or even just laughing. Join us to learn more about sketches, improv and stand-up. Weekly workshops: Stand-up and Sketch with improv - 7pm to 9pm, Wednesdays, 58/1039.

Membership Information
These are the current membership fees offered by Comedy Society, although many clubs and societies offer a free period for new members to try out their activities.

You will learn and develop skills writing and performing Stand up, Sketches and Improvisation, as well as play lots of games. If you want to give comedy a go for a semester with no pressure to perform, then this is the membership for you. | |
| Annual Workshop Membership | £10.00 | 28/09/2023 - 01/08/2024 | This Membership allows you to attend every workshop we hold this year, as well as performing in our two shows at the Annex. The workshops are held weekly, Wednesdays 7-9pm. You will learn and develop skills writing and performing Stand up, Sketches and Improvisation, as well as play lots of games. Remember there is no pressure to perform, but if you think Comedy is your thing then please come along. | |
| Semester Two Performer Membership | £10.00 | 29/01/2024 - 31/08/2024 | This membership allows you to attend weekly workshops we hold throughout Semester two as well as perform at the multiple gig opportunities we offer. These include monthly spots at The Hobbit Pub and Revolución de Cuba in Southampton, our Annex show in May and performing with the Society at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. If you want to perform Comedy, whether Stand up, sketch or improv, then this is the membership for you. | |
