3. You Are More Than... Debrief and Ideas

George fed back to the committee about the You Are More Than... project run over the exam period. He highlighted the most successful events which were the petting zoo (attended by over 1500 people) and the events targetted for post graduate research students such as the postgrad power teas. The committee discussed the controversy of the petting zoo that was circulated online and the difficulty of assessing the strength, scale and depth of feeling. The committee also noted that at the time no one had approached the formal democratic channels (such as You Make Change) about the petting zoo.

The committee then proceeded to discuss ideas for future You Are More Than.. events suggesting that use was made of the smoothie making facilites in the union and to review what is offered at other students' unions.

4. Sexual Health Week

Freya has met with Sam to discuss putting together a week's worth of events related to sexual health that would inlcude events and issues such as std testings, body confidence, consent and harrassment. It would also be run in partnership with student groups such as the LGBT society and Femsoc.

5. Alcohol and events

The committee discussed possible events for halls and freshers week that would not be focussed around drinking and would build upon the success of events that had happened previously such as the 'Murder Mystery". Suggestions were for an indoor outdoor screening of a film at the cube, increase the amount of society tasters and have a giant board games night.
