Why is there insufficient study spaces on campus right now? We received an email claiming that there were extra study spaces in Below Deck and a meeting room near there. Below deck is not set up as a study space and the meeting room was locked! The library is always full (not to mention ridiculously hot)! 100 and the bridge are only open on weekdays. There's simply not enough room for all the students trying to get through exams! Something needs to be done about this ASAP!

Hi. As part of our You Are More Than campaign, we opened both Meeting Room 2 (MR2) and Below Deck as chill-out/study areas. This was used throughout the exam period, and when we checked, it was being used by students. If you require a key, please don't hesitate to speak to our Reception staff who will be more than happy to help you. We also offered snacks and well-being information in MR2, so it's a shame you did not get to experience this. MR2 was not open in the evenings due to club and society bookings, however, during the day it was available. I will be passing this on to Emily, as my successor, who will be able to look into this more and identify the next steps before the next exam period.
