A Separate Society Fair Should be established in the year

Complete
The starting one is great. The refresher is not that effective. A better event for societies to show what they are doing must be established in the year. Many students don't stick with their initial choices and wait for the next year to join another one. By normalizing mid-term memberships both societies and students would benefit from increased engagement.

Many thanks for your You Make Change submission,
Having spoken to many Societies this year regarding recruitment, I can certainly see the appeal for this. Working with the Activities Team and Front of House Coordinator, we have suggested that Clubs and Societies may book the Redbrick/Concourse anytime to promote themselves via the new bookings email address for SUSU spaces – subookings@susu.org and with this form attached, which is required to make the booking, and with plenty of time prior to the event. This means that you can consistently advertise yourselves throughout the year and possibly collaborate with the incoming VP Activities to have a day dedicated to having our Clubs and Societies on the Redbrick.
I hope that this helps with your request, if not please feel free to get back in contact with me at vpactivities@susu.org.
Best wishes,
Ella Foxhall, VP Activities.
