Become a Tetra-Pak recycling point

Complete
There are currently no places at all in Southampton where you can recycle Tetra-Pak or similar cartons (see http://www.ace-uk.co.uk/recycling/?_sft_local_authority_name=southampton). This means that potentially huge amounts of otherwise recyclable packaging are going into household waste.
By becoming the first place in Southampton to offer carton recycling, SUSU would become a more tightly-integrated part of the city community, and also help students to be substantially more sustainable!

Hi Curtis,
Thank you for this You Make Change submission! Apologies for the delay in response, we have been undergoing handover and induction of the new Sabbatical team over the past few weeks.
I have checked with the University Estates team, and yes Lottie is correct, Tetra-packs can be recycled in the bins on Highfield Campus. I have added this to my list of items that need increased visibility regarding recycling on campus and within SUSU. Hopefully during your time as a highly valued Student Trustee you will be able to hear about my endeavors regarding this topic.
I will now be closing this submission. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to email me at president@soton.ac.uk

Thank you for this, Ollie! It is super important that all students know they are able to recycle these materials on campus, as (if I recall correctly) you can't recycle tetra-packs in household recycling!
