Is the uni going to do anything to ensure that non local students (both current and new) wont be affected by the new changes once implemented?

Hello Diana,
Thank you very much for your question, which raises a very valid point. The Union will do everything that it can to ensure that all students are not negatively affected by the outcome of the Brexit negotiations. The University community draws from over 140 nations worldwide and the Union is working jointly with the University to ensure that the international student experience is not detrimentally affected. Flora Noble (Vice President Student Communities) and I are keeping a close eye on the rapidly evolving situation and will continue to work with the University on this specific issue. However, I would be interested to hear your thoughts and would therefore invite you to email me to arrange an informal chat on this matter. I can be contacted at pres@soton.ac.uk .
Many thanks,
Alex Hovden - Union President
