Start-Up VISA Talk

26 Feb 2021,

SUSU

Are you an international student who has plans to start a business in the UK after graduating?

The University of Southampton has been granted a limited number of endorsements by the Home Office under the Start-Up Visa programme. There is a rigorous endorsement selection process but if successful, candidates can then apply to the Home Office for the Visa using this endorsement. This allows international graduates from the University of Southampton, who have a viable, innovative and scalable business idea, to be supported to develop a business in the UK in conjunction with the University.

We appreciate that the area of visa's and visa restrictions can be a complex and sometimes confusing subject, for this reason we are hosting a Startup Visa talk in order to provide some clear guidance on the application process.

The content of the talk will outline:

- The business criteria (with examples of suitable businesses)
- The application process
- Transition out of the Startup Visa and future options

Please note that this session is provided by the Student Enterprise Team and so the content will be regarding the Startup Visa (and this visa only). For other visa enquires please contact the visa team within Student Services.

We encourage all attendees to visit the following websites prior to attending the talk:
