SUPhil is a welcoming, inclusive choir; making up the student section of the Southampton Philharmonic Choir. The choir has over 120 members, with around 20-30 students. We sing classical choral pieces and take part in 3 concerts a year. Rehearsals are Monday evenings from 19:30 - 21:30 at Turner Sims on Highfield Campus, and are led by our professional conductor Cole Bendall. The mix of the two choirs gives a unique blend of youthful voices with those of more experienced singers. It also offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform major musical pieces with a large-scale ensemble, and with a full, professional orchestra and professional soloists.
