Key Points

  • Academic support will be provided by seniors.
  • Group talk regarding any Archaeological subject will be conducted weekly.
  • Social events will be hosted in various archaeological themes.
  • Communication from the department to the students will be improved
  • Everyone will have equal chances to express their ideas.

The very first thing a student thinks when he chooses Archaeology as his UG course is that, will I get to learn something different and will I experience something interesting. I do not know or have never heard about the ex-presidents of this specific department. But as I have lived in Southampton for a year now, I got the opportunity to listen to some of the Archaeology students saying that the decisions related to studies were not taken poorly. Awareness related to studies and research work was not even considered as a thing.

If I somehow get to experience some power from this department (might be any post I do not mind), I will utilise it in a profitable, knowledgeable way, especially in the correct way.

Of Course, with the permission, help and support from the university's side, groupworks and discussion sessions will be conducted for all types of Archaeology students (does not matter about the year that they study in). Every week there will be a teaching or speech from any archaeology student about what they have found, what type of Archaeology they wanted to do and about the sole purpose of digging in various sites with primary examples.

New sites found in the UK, Europe and other Asian regions will be discussed in these sessions and by doing this, students will also get to socialise with each other and at the same time they get to gain knowledge about the career that they are going to choose.
