Key Points

  • Create a positive atmosphere in the school of biological sciences
  • Represent all students of the School of Biological Sciences fairly
  • Ensure clarity about exam structure
  • Have been Course Representative for the past two years
  • Passionate about improving the courses in the SoBS

I am currently a 3rd year BSc Biology student. I have always loved biology, and have a particular interest in evolution, communicable diseases and genetics. I will be a good school president because I have the necessary experience from being a course representative for the past two years. From the experience of the role, I am confident in liaising between staff and the student body. I have successfully conveyed student issues to faculty members during my time as course rep, and I want to take this further. I was also part of the group that ensured the accreditation of the BSc Biology course by the Royal Society of Biology, this further indicates my passion in that I assisted in the formal recognition of my degree. If I were to be elected Biological Sciences School President I would ensure that there must be absolute clarity about exam structure, and represent all students fairly.
