Hi there, I’m Zai and I’m a 3rd year student in Economics and Finance!
As a student, I myself have been in situations where I felt as though I would be judged for bringing up questions and concerns that I deemed too silly or insignificant. That should not be the case, and I would like to use this opportunity to change it for my fellow students. One of my top priorities would be to create a system in which everyone can provide feedback and voice their concerns anytime, easily and anonymously.
If elected, I hope to increase interaction between staff and students beyond some 15-minute appointments, whether it's for you to have a more in-depth discussion about your modules or to learn from the people in the field what could come next at the end of your course, especially for final-year students.
I am also an international student and I understand that we may face different worries and challenges from those of home students, such as language barriers or the fear of being unfamiliar with the educational system. I will do my best to be a reliable point of contact whenever you require it and to effectively communicate your ideas and feedback to the school to improve your student experience.
I am happy to answer any questions or if you simply need someone to talk to about your degree!
