Why Choose Me for Chair of Senate at SUSU?

Dear fellow students,

I am excited to nominate myself for the esteemed position of Chair of the Senate at SUSU. My experiences as Vice President of the Trading and Investing Society and President of UBS Brand Ambassadors have equipped me with the leadership, communication, and representation skills vital for this role.

Experience & Dedication: As VP, I've worked closely with over 300 students, guiding them towards their finance and banking aspirations. As President of UBS Brand Ambassadors, I've represented a global brand, ensuring effective communication and representation. These roles have instilled in me a deep understanding of student needs and the importance of transparent representation.

Accountability & Transparency: As Chair of the Senate, my primary focus will be on scrutinizing the work of Sabbatical Officers, ensuring they are making progress against their yearly plans, and taking appropriate actions when necessary. I am committed to upholding SUSU's democratic values, and ensuring processes are followed diligently.

Decision Making & Engagement: I will take the lead on the Union’s political decision-making, ensuring that decisions made are in the best interests of the student body. Furthermore, I pledge to promote engagement in the Senate, ensuring all students have a voice in issues affecting them.

Our Shared Values: I resonate deeply with SUSU's values. I believe in standing strong, facing challenges head-on, and thinking big. I am committed to joining together with the student community, the University, and the local community to make a positive difference. I pledge to take responsibility, act with integrity, challenge discrimination, and work towards a more sustainable and inclusive community.

In conclusion, I am not just seeking a position but an opportunity to serve, represent, and champion the cause of every student. I humbly request your support and vote, promising dedication, transparency, and a commitment to making your time at Southampton unforgettable.

Thank you for considering my nomination. Together, let's make a difference at SUSU!
