  • Sense of community for all
  • Shared responsibility for success
  • Engagement for growth
  • Tailored support for inclusive growth

Studying for a degree can come with a lot of challenges. It is important that students get the tailored support they need to excel academically, especially students who are on Distance Learning programmes and have to combine their work life and studies. At the centre of my campaign is the promise of improved support for these students and to ensure that the voices of all students are heard, either within the campus or from their distance. Studying for a degree does not have to be a daunting experience. If elected, I would advocate for the personal and collective educational needs of students at the Department of Gerontology and work relentlessly to ensure they are tailored for the success of all. I would also ensure issues relating to the academic experience of students are promptly addressed. If elected, I desire to strengthen our community to make a positive difference amongst all.
