Enactus Southampton is a student run social enterprise and an affiliated society of the University of Southampton Student's Union. The team are currently undertaking 5 projects, 2 local social projects and 3 international social projects, 1 Marketing and Events division and 1 Research and Development team. The principal objective of Enactus Southampton is to provide a channel whereby students can gain experience working in a business environment, while at the same time improving the quality of life and standard of living for communities and individuals in need. Enactus projects set University of Southampton students apart from their peers, by teaching them (through their experiences), the relevant skills to make them more employable in the future.

We are The University of Southampton's Entrepreneurship and Business Society: We aim to promote and encourage entrepreneurship via speakers, events and our pre-accelerator programme Spawn, as well as help our members develop transferable business skills that will help prepare them for their careers. Since 2002 the society has been working to nurture and develop the next generation of entrepreneurs by encouraging a culture of innovation, inspiration and collaboration. We pride ourselves on having one of the most ambitious, motivated and creative groups of people as our members. You might not have thought about what you want to do after graduation but that doesn't matter. If you're simply looking for something fun to fill your Thursday evenings or you want to start a business next week, Fish on Toast is for you. We're about getting inspired by each other's enthusiasm and that of our incredible visiting speakers, running our own businesses, and entering sweet competitions whilst stuffing ourselves on free pizza! We are, quite literally, the most inspiring club that you can join at uni. Together we can learn the secrets for business success meet some awesome people and hopefully change the world!

Human Powered Aircraft

The Southampton University Human Powered Aircraft (SUHPA) has its roots all the way back to 1961 where the University first manufactured and flew the world's first official human powered aircraft. In 2011, the SUHPA group design project (GDP) was initiated by Dr. Alexander Forrester as the 50th Anniversary of Southampton University's Man Powered Aircraft. The society was revived in late 2017, and is currently engaged in the restoration and upgrade of the old aircraft.

Human Powered Submarine

We are a group of students at the University of Southampton that design, build, and test human powered submarines to compete internationally! We have competed in the International Submarine Races in 2015, 2017 and 2019 at Naval Surface Warfare Centre in Carderock, USA. The society consists of approximately 50 interdisciplinary students from various academic tiers including undergraduates, Masters Students, PhDs and EngDs. Our members come from a variety of backgrounds including engineering, naval architecture, astronautics & aeronautics, biology, chemistry, physics and environmental science. However, just because you're not a STEM student doesn't mean you can't get involved! We welcome students of all disciplines to join us to help with engineering or SCUBA dive with the sub. Soapbox Racers

The University of Southampton Soapbox Racers is an exciting group that aims to design, build and race a gravity powered soapbox racer. Our aim is to compete in soapbox racing competitions, primarily the Red Bull Soapbox Race which takes place in locations across the globe. We have a different theme each year which provides a regular and exciting opportunity for students from all courses and backgrounds to get get involved in creative design! Spaceflight Society is an engineering and outreach society, open to anyone who wants to get involved. We carry out high altitude balloon and model rocketry launches, alongside designing our own rockets, working closely with schools to teach science and engineering. There are opportunities to get involved with electronics, rockets, programming, radio communication, engineering, outreach and physics.

We are a society who are passionate about improving the representation of women in corporate and commercial sectors, where they are typically not well represented. These sectors include: law, banking, politics and engineering to name a few. We aim to challenge the low figures of women within these sectors by: -Providing work experience opportunities -Hosting regular inspirational talks -Giving young women the opportunity to mentor and be mentored by other women -Encourage young women to volunteer at partner organisations (Southampton Women's Centre), which will also improve employability -Create an alumni that lasts even long after the women have graduated
