Finding the right housemates can have a big effect on your university experience. SUSU’s Housemate Finder is here to help you meet other people who are also looking for a house, or to find people to fill your spare rooms.
Before getting started, consider:
- Is signing a contract to rent a house, most likely for 12 months, the best choice for you in the current circumstances? If you would like some advice in this area, please contact the Advice Centre on advice@susu.org

Hey! Ripstone Gardens (highfield), perfect location just behind the library so 5 mins walk from university and 10 mins walk from Sainsburys in Portswood. Rent + bills is £587 per month, and there are 4 rooms in total with one bathroom/shower sharing, as well as a living room, garden, and shed. There is also a driveway where you can park your car! Tenancy is from 1 July 2026 - 1 July 2027. The room itself is garden-facing with a nice window for sunlight and a double bed. The bills include tv license, wifi, gas & electricity, and water.
