Running an event on SUSU premises
Running an event in The Cube, The Bridge, Bar 2 or Bar 3
- Complete an Event Booking Form – the form can be accessed via https://www.susu.org/places/room-hire.html
- Email the completed form to events@susu.org
- Upon receipt of the completed form, the SUSU Events Team will assess your requirements
- You will be assigned a team member who will aim to confirm your event booking within 2-3 working days
- Further details regarding any next steps and event costs will be discussed directly with the Events Team where necessary
Running an event in any other SUSU venue
- Request the space that you require via https://bookings.susu.org
- Await a space booking confirmation email – approval has to be processed manually by a member of the SUSU Facilities Team – please allow 3-4 working days
- Complete an Event Booking Form
- Email the completed form to events@susu.org
- Upon receipt of the completed form, the SUSU Events Team will assess your requirements
- You will be assigned a team member who will aim to confirm your event booking within 2-3 working days
- Further details regarding any next steps and event costs will be discussed directly with the Events Team where necessary
NB: Your event is not confirmed through the online space booking system – your event will need to be personally approved and confirmed by a member of the SUSU Events Team via direct email

Film screening event bookings
- Contact the Union Films Cinema Manager via manager@unionfilms.org to discuss cinema availability
- Once a potential date has been agreed, please email events@susu.org with the agreed date
- The SUSU Events Team will then send you a Film Screening Booking Form to which you will need to complete and return in order to confirm your event booking
- Upon receipt of the completed form, the SUSU Events Team will assess your requirements
- You will be assigned a team member who will aim to confirm your event booking within 2-3 working days
- Further details regarding any next steps and event costs will be discussed directly with the Events Team where necessary
Points to note
The SUSU Events Team will need to receive your completed Event Booking Form at least 10 working days (Mon - Fri) prior to the event date in order to book it all in for you.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to book out spaces at Halls through our online system. For these bookings, contact the SUSU Events Team at events@susu.org directly.
Garden Court is not managed by SUSU. This space is managed via the University Conference and Hospitality Department. However, they do require a referral from SUSU in order to process your booking request. Please email events@susu.org if you wish to book the Garden Court venue.
Cancelling an event
- Cancellations must be received in writing (via email) to events@susu.org
- Cancellations received within 7 days of the event date may incur charges for any services requested within your booking. This will be reviewed on a case by case basis
