How to Involve External Speakers

If you are planning to invite an outside speaker to speak at one of your events, it is vital that you follow the University’s code of practice for freedom of speech. The code of practice can be found here.

The most important thing to remember is that you must submit the requested information to the Union before inviting an outside speaker. In order to do this, please complete the information requested below. Once the form is submitted the data will be automatically sent to activities@susu.org. This MUST be done at least 24 working days before the event.

SUSU must be informed of all external speakers prior to the event being advertised. If you are unsure if this applies to your speaker, please contact activities@susu.org to discuss this.


Using the subject "External Speakers" will speed up how we deal with your submission.
